Sorry for the lack of blog posts for the past year oh so...it’s been a little bit crazy. So here’s a little throwback to the gigs and concerts I went to last year!
Back in early 2018 I really began to enjoy a new band that I never had heard of before called ‘Don Broco’. I started to listen to them so often and was hoping that it wouldn’t be long till they went on tour so I could see them live for the first time.
Then before I knew it, they announced they were going on tour in February 2019 and James had booked the tickets.
I was beyond excited and to make it even better, they were having ‘Neck Deep’ as their support act.
James then booked a hotel just round the corner from the venue and we counted down the day till we were seeing them live.
The hotel was amazing and I honestly think the bed was the best bed I had ever stayed in. Would highly recommend!!!!!
We then headed off to Wembley Arena to see the two bands. They were both amazing as expected, just a shame I had two drunken mess men next to me...
The next gig we went in 2019 was in April. Me and my sister had listened to Shawn Mendes ages before he got well known and extremely loved. I remember hearing on the radio that the tickets were going on sale at 10am that morning and I knew I had to try my best to get them for me and her... And exactly what I did.
A few months later it was time for us to head to the O2 arena in London!
Alessia Cara was Shawn’s support act and she was so amazing and everyone sang and cheered so loudly when she sang the famous Moana song “How Far I’ll go”.
Shawn was also so amazing and we really had the best time! the atmosphere was just something else and the displays and singing were just beautiful! What an amazing night we had!!
Next we went and saw The XCERTS at Concorde, Brighton.
The first time we saw this band was in November 2018 when they were the support act for You Me at Six and I can tell you now...I am completely obsessed with them!
We were so lucky to be right at the front and get the whole experience!
I've missed to seeing these guys!
Me and James then went through a phase of listening to John Newman on repeat and then all of a sudden he announced a tour. Once again it was in Brighton but just over the road from Concorde in Patterns, Brighton.
The venue was only little, I believe it's a club but once again it was just amazing and so was John and his support act, Etham.
John dang some old, big, well known songs and even gave us a teaser of his new song “Forever’s Not Long Enough”
John Newman was so energetic, funny and talkative and we couldn't have asked for a better night!
A bit like John Newman, me and James started listening to Sleeping with Sirens over and over again and actually didn't expect them to go on tour as soon as they did, even though they had just released a new album.
I was beyond excited to see this band because I had listened to them for years and now was my chance.
We saw them in Kentish Town Forum, London.
We had such a great evening even though I was complaining of a bad shoulder and James was wet and cold from the rain and also suffering with a bad leg!
But what an experience it was!
Finally, the last band we saw back in December was...The XCERTS again. I just couldnt resist seeing them again and this time they were playing in London, so Christmas shopping was contributed to too.
Right at the front again we were!!!
Sorry for the long post but my year was just so full of music and gigs!!
