So this year I was thinking up ideas for Christmas gifts for the parents of the children at work and I thought why not doing something delicious but also fun!

So I decided on Reindeer hot chocolate cones!!

These are fun, cute and just something very festive and honestly so easy and simple to make.

I ordered some bits and bobs online that I needed and started on the stack of hot chocolate cones.

I ordered 100 cellophane bag cones which came with a little golden tie strips, I ordered some round, red stickers (about 6 times larger than I expected, whoops), some brown pipe cleaners for the antlers and some goggly eyes. I then also grabbed a bit tin of Cadbury hot choc and some yummy, mini, white and pink marshmallows.

Instructions:

1: Pick two of the cellophane bag cones and open carefully at the top. Either hold the bag open or use a funnel to keep it wide and open closer to the bottom.

2: Take 4/5 heaped table spoons of Cadbury hot chocolate or until cone is around 1/4 full and make sure the chocolate is laying flat and there are no big lumps or gaps.

3. About half an inch above the hot chocolate, pinch the cone and twist to ensure the powder does not mix with the marshmallows. Then either tie with a little something or add a bit of clear tape round the twisted area.

4. Next, cut off the excess of the top of the cone and put the chocolate cone into another cellophane bag. Make sure this reaches right down to the bottom.

5. Add as many marshmallows as you want onto the top of the hot chocolate bag, I normally do around 5 tablespoons leaving about 3 inches from the top, leaving enough space to tie up.

6. Tie round the top with ribbon, string or some other ties. Tie round the pipe cleaners and bend in the shape you want them. Add the nose and the eyes and you are ready to go.

7. Have a cheeky taste test.

The next delicious treat I made were some little cake pop balls. A few weeks back me and my sister were talking about doing some fun Christmas baking and so I bought us a cake pop mould and today would be the day that I try it out.

I made a normal cake mixture which was meant to make around 20 cake pops but actually made around 38 instead... not bad if you ask me!

Ingredients;

  1. 4OZ Caster sugar

  2. 4OZ Self raising flour

  3. 4OZ Margarine

  4. 3 Eggs

  5. Vanilla essence (optional)

  6. Vegetable oil (For the cake mould)

Instructions:

1.Pre heat the oven at 180 degrees

2.Measure out the butter and the caster sugar and mix in a bowl till butter goes soft. Then add in the 3 eggs to the butter and the sugar. Slowly add the flour, turning it into the current mixture. Add the vanilla essence if wanted.

3.Then using a small oil brush, put a thin layer of vegetable oil into each of the holes of the cake pop mould, remembering both top and bottom.

4.Add the mixture into the bottom half of the cake mould and attach top half ensuring all edges are flat and secure.

5.Cook for 20 minutes and leave to cool before removing from the mould.

6. When cooled they are ready to decorate and enjoy!

I then melted some chocolate, opened up my recently purchased Christmas baking decorations and created these yummy little things!

That's all the baking for this week but hoping to do some more before we reach christmas day!

Thanks for giving it a little read!
